Our Start-up Visa Program supports international entrepreneurs that want to build and grow their innovative businesses in Canada. We work with founders that have the potential to diversify Canada’s economy, create local jobs and can compete on a global scale.

We believe it’s your team and our approach that determines the level of your success. Intrinsic has helped over 40 companies come to Canada through the Start-up Visa Program by screening for fit and offering a holistic approach that considers the needs of your business, employees, the reality of adapting to a new culture on a business and personal level, and the overall happiness of your family as they settle into all aspects of their new home.

When Intrinsic Innovations provides a Letter of Support (LOS) for you as a Founder, it means we have faith in your ability to succeed here and that we will provide our complete support for two years as you build and grow your business. An essential component of our incubator program is helping you establish the proper business connections and build your networks.

Intrinsic has a defined process for screening and selecting Founders and Businesses that will benefit from our specific program.

We suggest that our Start-up Visa applicants have at least $200,000 in savings for your move as you will need enough money to put towards living expenses and to invest in starting your business here.

Process
Complete and submit the online application. This helps us understand the business, your background and why you’re interested in Canada and Alberta.
Step 2 - Interview
Includes a 5 – 10-minute pitch presentation, and Q&A session. This helps us assess the venture and ensure our program can provide value.
Step 3 - Due Diligence
You will receive a due diligence list to fulfill. This demonstrates the level of maturity of the Founder(s) and venture.
Step 4 - Follow-up
Our team will have follow-up interviews to request and gather any outstanding information.
Step 5 - Acceptance
We determine the programs that best fit the Founder(s) and venture and extend an offer of acceptance. The contract is completed, personal financial sufficiency is verified, and a Letter of Support is issued.
